What do I need to set it up?
All you need is:
- A Wi-Fi Router with an active internet connection
- A Alexa device (eg. Echo, Echo dot)
- A Homeemity device

How to set it up?
It’s an easy step by step process. Just connect to the Wi-Fi network called “HOMEEMITY_XXXX" and a configuration panel should open automatically. If not, open the web address http://10.1.1.1 and follow the steps. After that, open the Alexa App on your phone, search for the HOMEEMITY skill and link the same account you have used to set up your device. Account can be created while setting up the device or in the Alexa App.

I can't find "HOMEEMITY_XXXX" network to set the device up.
Make sure the device is in configuration mode, signalized by pulsating light.
If not, check the power and reset the device by toggling the power to HOMEEMITY five times (Turn if ON -> wait 1-5 seconds -> Turn it OFF -> wait 1-5 seconds and repeat).

I keep getting the "Device Discovery Failed" error. What can I do?
Alexa requires to have an Echo (for eg. Echo dot) connected and powered ON to discover new devices.

How can I control it?
You can control it with voice commands with an Amazon Echo device or using your phone via smart home tab in the alexa App

Can I control or check my lights while I'm not home?
Yes! All you need is an active internet connection. Thanks to the cloud, you can control your lights just as you were home.

How do I reset my device?
To reset the device, just toggle the power to HOMEEMITY five times (Turn if ON -> wait 1-5 seconds -> Turn it OFF -> wait 1-5 seconds and repeat) or by pressing the blue button for at least 5 seconds.

Does it work with Amazon Alexa, Google Home and Apple HomeKit (Siri)?
Currently, only Amazon Alexa is supported, but Google Home and Apple HomeKit is under development.

I have changed my Wi-Fi Router and the SSID/Password of my network. How do I change it for the device?
You have to reset the device and reconfigure it.

My HOMEEMITY is not shown in the Smart Home devices.
Please click the "Add Devices" Button in the Alexa App. If your device is not shown, make sure your HOMEEMITY device and Alexa skill HOMEEMITY linked with the same account. If not, reset your device and relink your HOMEEMITY skill.

My HOMEEMITY device is shown but doesn't work.
Make sure that:
- The device is powered ON
- Check if the standalone device is connected properly
- Make sure the Wi-Fi and internet connection is working

How many HOMEEMITY devices can i connect?
The only limitation is your Wi-Fi Router capability, if it can handle it, the maximum number is practically unlimited.

Are there any other costs?
No! The cloud to handle HOMEEMITY will always be free.

What light sources can i control with the standalone version?
Only LED constant voltage (CV) light sources are currently supported.
